The main role of all House of Faith employees is to serve as a children, youth, and family minister; all applicants must be dedicated Christ followers eager to help others grow in their faith.
A Youth Outreach Director at House of Faith leads our youth department through networking, planning, preparing, and executing all youth activities. They are driven to build relationships and invest in the lives of our students. They lead the youth outreach team under the direct supervision of the Associate Director. The Youth Outreach Director counts it as a privilege to minister to our students and always models Christ‑like behavior, serving the Lord and students faithfully as Christ would.
Reports to the Associate Director.
Responsibilities- Ministry
- Reflect the character of Christ in the way we treat community members, donors and potential partners
- Participate in and lead ministry programs that oversee and teach children, youth and families
- Prayerfully seek the Lord's direction for House of Faith and House of Faith partners
- Honor the Lord in pursuing excellence and maintaining professionalism in all interactions
- Leadership
- Lead and direct the youth outreach team of House of Faith
- Work with the House of Faith team to collaborate and delegate for youth outreach events
- Build relationships with students for outreach and advancing the Kingdom of God
- Build relationships with students families
- Develop relationships with our middle school and high school faculty to find good ways to connect with students on campus
- Visit students on campus and at events
- Guide and disciple when disciplining student behavior
- Contact parents or guardians regarding positive and negative behavior when necessary
- Lead Youth Outreach team in planning weekly programs, delegating responsibilities for the execution of the program
- Lead "321" weekly youth program and other planned youth activities and events
- Build relationships, encourage, and lead youth volunteers working to utilize their gifts and talents
- Prepare and communicate with volunteers and staff about their program roles each week
- Help with managing students and transportation at all programs
- Plan for discipleship and service opportunities with students
- Participate with the curriculum team to help create meaningful and relevant content for teaching at House of Faith
- Pray for the Lord’s leading in all curriculum development.
- Seek and study God’s Word, making sure input is Biblically sound in the development of curriculum, sermons, and any other teaching materials
- Team
- Engage with our HOF team in unity both spiritually and in helping one another as needed
- Work and communicate closely with the Associate Director and Executive Director.
- Work closely with the Youth team and other teams as needed
- Assist in weekly Backyard Bible Clubs
- All other duties as assigned by the Associate Director and Executive Director
- School Year Schedule
- Monday – 9:00am–5:00pm (2 hour lunch)
- Tuesday – 9:00am–5:00pm
- Wednesday & Thursday - 9:00am–6:00pm
- Friday – 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Summer schedule varies from the school year schedule based on events and programs.
- Some programs and several special events will occur after hours and on weekends throughout the year.
- Some events will require travel.
- In Person
- Able to be knowledgeable about HOF and clearly communicate the mission
- Friendly and approachable
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or comparable experience
- 2 years of experience working in youth ministry (preferred)
- Detail-oriented
- Organized
- Able to communicate clearly in all forms including public speaking
- Able to prepare and present sermons as well as be comfortable taking a leading role in communicating to large groups.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Able to learn computer programs - Pro-Presenter and Planning Center
- Ability to learn and use internal data systems
- Able to sustain focus
- Valid US Driver’s License
- Able to follow and give detailed instructions
- Ability to train others when necessary
- Physical Requirements
- Sit/stand for long periods
- Be able to lift 10-25 lbs.
- Kneel or crouch at times.
- Full‑Time Salaried position; paid bi‑weekly, based on qualifications and experience (starting from $40,0000)
