Surgical Tech II

Performs specialized technical duties in surgical or procedural settings under supervision, supporting the surgical team with equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe, efficient operating environment.

• Assist in preparing patients and surgical setups, organizing drapes, instruments, and supplies for maximum efficiency.
• Ensure proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment throughout procedures.
• Maintain strict aseptic protocols, label and dispatch solutions and medications per orders and policies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of procedural steps, handle instrumentation dexterously, and manage specimens accurately.
• Prepare equipment and supplies, perform counts, and follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Attend meetings and in-services, work independently, and meet deadlines to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED, and completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program.
• Preferred experience includes one year as a Surgical Technician.
• Certification requirements include Surgical Technician certification by recognized boards or military/health service programs, with at least one certification obtained.
• Must have BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
