Orthopedic Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist provides medically prescribed therapy to relieve pain, restore function, and prevent disability after injury, disease, or loss of a body part.

• Conducts initial and re-evaluations, plans individualized therapy programs utilizing exercises, manual therapy, heat, water, light, and electrical modalities.
• Guides patients in active/passive exercises, muscle reeducation, gait, and functional training with equipment.
• Perform diagnostic tests on muscles, nerves, joints, and functional ability assessments.
• Manages equipment such as ultrasound, diathermy, whirlpools, and contrast baths.
• Provides patient education on device use, postural control, and therapeutic exercises.
• May supervise assistants, aides, volunteers, and participate in training students and staff.

• Requires a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (post-2015) or equivalent, with licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Candidates must hold valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and obtain certification in pelvic health within 90 days.
• Experience in musculoskeletal, neurological, or rehabilitation settings is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of therapy techniques, equipment, and patient care standards is essential.

• Must be a licensed Physical Therapist, with required BLS certification, and preferred pelvic health certification.
• Certification in pelvic health should be obtained within 90 days of employment.
