Occupational Therapy Assistant

Role Overview:
This position involves supervised planning and execution of occupational therapy treatment programs across a wide patient age range, within an interdisciplinary team framework.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans for neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Supervise students, volunteers, and observers involved in therapy activities.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Knowledge of accepted Occupational Therapy practices and principles.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent location and position changes, and assist with patient mobility.
• Sufficient strength, mobility, and stamina; accommodations considered for disabilities.
• Ability to handle potentially infectious diseases, handle emergencies, and wear protective gear.
• Physical activities include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting.

• Must have corrected vision and clear hearing capabilities.
• May be exposed to chemicals, infectious agents, and irregular hours.
• Activities involve continuous sitting and frequent walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting.
