Medical Technologist

Role: Performs quality diagnostic laboratory testing on a variety of specimens.

• Demonstrates clinical competencies to perform and analyze laboratory tests/procedures.
• Prepares reagents, standards, and controls as per prescribed procedures.
• Performs test analysis efficiently and accurately.
• Calibrates, standardizes, and maintains laboratory instruments following established protocols.
• Researches and develops new procedures as assigned.
• Adheres to hospital, department, personnel, safety, and laboratory policies.
• Uses computer skills for laboratory and hospital information systems.
• Maintains professionalism, promotes continuous growth, and supports teamwork.
• Train and orient new employees and students.
• Participates in quality improvement and departmental productivity.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science.
• ASCP Certification Eligible in Medical Technology.

Preferred qualifications include: ASCP Certification.
