Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night 4x12, 19:00–07:00
Requirements:
- 2 years of ICU experience required.
- 1:2 patient ratio experience required.
- Travel experience required/highly preferred.
- Epic experience required.
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; PALS/ENPC, TNCC preferred.
- Charge Nurse experience preferred.
- Strong experience with ventilated patients, ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, chest tubes, ABGs, arterial/central/PICC lines, blood products, and IV therapy.
- Experience with cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous sedation/paralytics, emergency medications, and IV insulin protocols.
- Neuro ICU experience preferred, including EVD, ICP monitoring, post-craniotomy/neurosurgery, stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury, and lumbar drains.
Description:
- Provide critical care to adult and geriatric patients in an ICU setting.
- Manage complex medical/surgical and neurological patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, acute/chronic renal failure, respiratory failure, and acute stroke.
- Perform cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management, titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips, and respond to emergencies.
- Manage ventilated patients, ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ETT/NT suctioning, ABGs, chest tubes, and respiratory interventions.
- Provide neurocritical care, including EVD/ICP monitoring, post-craniotomy care, post-neurosurgery management, TBI, and spinal cord injury.
- May float to Progressive Care and Med-Surg units based on facility needs.
