Occupational Therapy Assistant

Provides supervised Occupational Therapy services across all age groups, developing and executing treatment plans within an interdisciplinary setting.
Supervises students, volunteers, and observers involved in therapy activities.

• Designs and implements individualized treatment programs following accepted OT practices.
• Performs physical activities such as lifting, assisting patient care, and making frequent location and position changes.
• May be exposed to infectious diseases, handle emergency situations, and work irregular hours.
• Wears protective equipment as needed and manages potential chemical or toxic exposures.
• Conducts activities involving continuous sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting.

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations, including lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Sufficient strength, mobility, and stamina for physical tasks and patient assistance.
• Strong understanding of Occupational Therapy principles and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Visual and hearing acuity with corrective aids as necessary.

• Must see clearly with corrective eyewear and hear clearly with assistance.
• Physical activities include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting, often frequently or occasionally.
