Forklift Operator

Overview

Starting Wage = $19.50/ hour/s;
Shift differential = $1.00/hour additional. The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for loading and unloading trucks with raw materials and finished goods and accurately keeping counts. Our Warehouse Forklift Operators will obtain forklift certification and must adhere to all safety requirements, as well as wear all appropriate PPE.

• Unload raw materials from incoming trucks and place in designated areas. Check count of incoming raw materials
• Load trucks with the proper raw materials. Check amounts of product as loading
• Load/unload trucks with the proper finished goods. Check amounts of product as loading/unloading
• Operate Palletizing Machinery
• Operate turret trucks, propane and/or electric forklifts in a high paced environment and be forklift certified
• Supply bottles to the production lines
• Perform pre-trip inspections and battery/propane tank changing operations
• Perform any other driving activities as directed by supervision
• Clean/maintain work areas throughout the shift
• Understand SQF, responsible for Food Safety/Food Quality and provide proper notification for any Food Safety or Food Quality issues
• Represent the company in a positive manner at all times
• Must be available to work overtime when needed
• Adhere to Company policies and all safety requirements, including Personal Protective Equipment on the job

• Ability to read and write English, follow job instructions
• Must be able to perform basic computer functions
• Learn the basic operation of turret trucks
• Forklift certified
• Occasionally lift and/or maneuver more than 40 pounds
