Position SummaryProvides clinical supervision to all Caregiver RNs, LVNs, Contract Nurses, and other Nursing staff within assigned area(s) or territories. Offers ongoing training and support, ensuring routine and emergency care meets state guidelines and company policies. Works with the Regional RN Director to implement nursing systems, policies, and procedures, and ensures nursing staff follow them accurately.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Monitors consumers’ health conditions through medical chart reviews and audits.
- Identifies delays in service.
- Ensures state guidelines are followed in nursing service delivery.
- Ensures compliance with Caregiver Policy and Procedure.
- Ensures adequate and appropriate follow‑up to potential citations.
- Monitors the health data of the individuals served, coordinating with Area Directors & Regional Directors and ensuring nursing staff completes:
- Immediate reporting of significant health status changes, including acute illness, medication reactions, vital sign changes, seizure activity, etc.
- Immediate reporting of safety, staff, or facility problems.
- Delegation in compliance with Board of Nurse Examiners criteria.
- Comprehensive Nursing Assessments (RNAs) and Annual Review of RNAs as required.
- On‑call nursing services, providing telephone triage as assigned.
- Timely documentation of all medical consultations and laboratory reports.
- Participation in Annual Recertification surveys, intermittent surveys, investigations, and follow‑up, providing interventions and strategies for success.
- Attends meetings with corporate directors as assigned.
- Participates in development and implementation of nursing system restructures.
- Attends industry‑driven conferences as assigned.
- Serves on agency‑wide committees as assigned.
- Completes specific assignments and submits written reports within designated time frames.
- Provides ongoing, clinical supervision and support to nursing staff via face‑to‑face meetings, email, text, or phone.
- Assists nursing staff with obtaining appropriate medical services for individuals.
- Reviews daily on‑call reports, follows up on critical issues, and justifies actions to Regional & Area Directors.
- Maintains accurate documentation of chart reviews and audits, coordinating with Area RNs, Lead RNs, and Area Director.
- Communicates with administration staff for all open nursing positions within the region.
- Recruits, trains, and hires Area RNs, Lead RNs, and LVNs as needed.
- Provides initial on‑the‑job training and EHR training to all nursing personnel in the region.
- Coordinates nursing assignments and caseloads while staying within budget.
- Retrains nursing staff in need and implements corrective actions with Area & Regional Directors.
- Monitors nurse billing rates, trains, and mentors nurses to achieve minimal billing standards while ensuring compliance.
- Reviews NSLs of all nursing staff within the region.
- Identifies non‑billable tasks and needed corrections.
- Identifies billing rate reporting errors and reports them to Regional Director and admin staff.
- Organizes strategies to maintain and increase nurse billing rates.
- Trains on HCS billing system and Caregiver nurse billing expectations.
- Extensive knowledge of accepted standards of nursing practice and ability to apply it daily.
- Outstanding communication with community health care professionals and industry stakeholders.
- Ability to formulate training objectives, agendas, and present information formally or informally.
- High‑level assessment skills for individuals’ health status and appropriate interventions.
