School Crossing Guard​/Relief School Crossing Guard

Position will be open until filled.

The School Crossing Guard or Relief for School Crossing Guard will:

• Control and direct children safely through crosswalks
• Observe traffic
• Maintain time sheets, maintain attendance sheets, complete tracking records
• Be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Must have no convictions involving moral turpitude.
• Must be available for short notice calls to work.
• Hours:
  
  Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 8:15 am, and 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
• This is an on-call position that requires the employee to provide a reliable automobile to transport crossing guard equipment to job site and cell phone to be reached for short notice calls to duty or calls for assistance in an emergency.
• Regular and timely attendance is required.

• Education and Experience:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent.
• Required Licenses or
  
  Certifications:
  
  Reliable transportation is required.
• Required Knowledge of:
  English language;
  Spanish helpful.
• Required Skill in:
  Ability to read and understand the English language;
  Effectively communicate with children and adults;
  Ability to follow oral and written instructions;
  Ability to perform basic math.
• Physical Demands / Work Environment:
  Able to lift 10 to 15 lbs. overhead;
  Walk unassisted over uneven terrain.
