About the Role

As a Lowe's cashier, you'll ensure every customer exits Lowe's on a high note. Your work helps our stores positively serve customers and communities by providing a quick, friendly checkout experience and helping customers get the best value for their money.

While most of your time will be spent at the register, you may also be expected to assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts.

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self‑checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer: inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Can lift at least 10 lbs unassisted or over 15 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales‑related licensure or registration if required by law in your state.

• Retail and/or customer service experience.
• Bilingual skills.

This role does not require regular travel; however, occasional travel to meetings, training, or support neighboring stores may be needed.

Environmental factors vary by location. You may work both indoors and outdoors, and be exposed to extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. You may encounter constant or intermittent noise from moving or shaking equipment. Lifting methods vary with role; single lifts are limited to 75 lbs, while team lifts begin at 75 lbs or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance.
