San Angelo, TX. JM Test Systems is seeking a Traveling Electrical Safety Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll work in both lab and field settings to test, inspect, and certify electrical safety equipment and instruments—helping ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.

If you’re mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and enjoy hands-on work in changing environments, this could be the role for you!

• Test and certify electrical safety gear (gloves, hot sticks, grounding cables, voltage detectors, meters, etc.)
• Perform high-voltage dielectric testing for compliance (ASTM, OSHA, NETA)
• Troubleshoot low- and medium-voltage instruments
• Maintain accurate test records and documentation
• Follow strict safety protocols and use PPE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of electrical safety and equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment
• Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping skills
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, internal systems)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Traveling required

Technical degree/certification, lab or calibration experience, or familiarity with NETA/ASTM/ANSI standards.
