Overview

Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Document Specialist at a fast-growing biotech company preparing for multiple international clinical trials. The role involves physical document handling and contract execution under tight timelines, coordinating the shipment of contracts, managing apostille processes, and supporting contract workflows in both digital and in-person systems.

Location

Remote, but the candidate must reside within driving distance to San Anselmo, CA.

Responsibilities
  • Print, review, and verify completeness of contracts (ensure all signatures are present).
  • Drive to San Anselmo, CA and other locations to obtain signatures and ship documents.
  • Travel locally for urgent document execution.
  • Manage document shipments via Fed Ex (including international).
  • Manage apostille process at the state level (Sacramento and CT Corp assistance).
  • Work closely with the Head of Development Operations for coordination.
  • Support contract processing in Agiloft (training provided).
  • Handle multi-jurisdictional agreements (China, Moldova, Poland).
  • Maintain high responsiveness for urgent requests (24-hour turnaround).
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in all document handling steps.
Qualifications
  • Paralegal or similar legal operations experience.
  • Must reside within driving distance of San Anselmo, CA.
  • Familiarity with contract execution processes with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage apostille follow-through and familiarity with international document shipping.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel by car with mileage reimbursement available for work-related travel.
  • Comfortable with urgent requests/24-hour turnaround time service level expectations.
  • Flexible schedule for 20 hours/week.

Pay Rate: $50-60/hour
