Tax Senior Associate

abip is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join the accounting team. As our newest team member, the tax associate will be responsible for preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with local and national regulations at every step of the filing process. This person will also maintain thorough tax records for the organization, compiling reports on expenditures, payroll, and revenue.

In addition to serving an important role within the accounting department, the tax associate will work across teams to communicate tax strategy to key employees throughout the organization.

• Prepare tax returns and provide tax planning advice
• Research tax questions and offer suggestions for tax planning purposes
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• CPA certified or eligible within year of hire
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role with tax prep experience required

• Strong knowledge of financial report interpretation, corporate accounting, tax accounting, and general ledger accounting
• Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail
• Strong understanding of technical accounting principles and practices
• Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to clients or stakeholders
• Proficient in using accounting software such as CCH
