Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team on a Contract to permanent basis in San Antonio, Texas. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing day-to-day financial operations while contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.

- Process payroll accurately, ensuring proper tax withholding and benefits administration.

- Reconcile bank statements to ensure alignment with company records and resolve discrepancies.

- Maintain and update the general ledger with precise financial transactions.

- Prepare and present detailed financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

- Assist in tax preparation and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by analyzing historical data and anticipated expenses.

- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.

- Collaborate with external auditors and financial advisors to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to regulations.

- Optimize accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.

- Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial statement preparation.

- Strong knowledge of payroll processing and related tax regulations.

- Expertise in general ledger maintenance and journal entry posting.

- Solid understanding of account reconciliation and financial reporting.

- Familiarity with tax preparation and compliance requirements.

- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

- Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
