Construction Accountant

Experience The EMBREY Way by joining our dynamic Construction Accounting Team as a Construction Accountant.

As a Construction Accountant, you will manage financial activities specific to construction projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking, budgeting and reporting to support project profitability and compliance.

Responsibilities

* Track and record project costs, budgets, and change orders

* Prepare draw requests, progress billings, and job cost reports

* Reconcile accounts and ensure timely payment of subcontractors and vendors

* Monitor project budgets and provide financial analysis to project managers

* Ensure compliance with contract terms, accounting standards, and tax regulations

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

* 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry

* Knowledge of job costing, AIA billing, and construction contracts

* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Procore, Yardi & Textura)

* Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills

Required Testing

* Criminal Background Check, Non-DOT Testing, MVR

* Hybrid: 2 days in office and 3 at home
