Experienced AccountantWe are a San Antonio–based manufacturer of musical instruments seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day general ledger accounting functions. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting a collaborative, high-performing finance team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all general ledger accounting activities in Quick Books Online
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting schedules in Microsoft Excel
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Support financial reporting, budgeting, and audit requests
- Collaborate with operations and management to ensure accurate cost tracking and financial data
- Identify process improvements and leverage technology to increase efficiency
- 3+ years of hands-on general ledger accounting experience
- Strong proficiency in Quick Books Online and Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
- Highly tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic with the ability to manage deadlines independently
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
- Experience in manufacturing or inventory-based businesses
- Familiarity with cost accounting
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
