Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a Contract position based in San Antonio, Texas. This role is well suited for someone with solid bookkeeping experience who can manage transactional accounting tasks accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate brings hands-on familiarity with Real Page Accounting, along with the ability to work comfortably across payable, receivable, and reconciliation activities.

Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and prepare payments in a timely and accurate manner.

- Record customer payments, monitor outstanding balances, and assist with maintaining current accounts receivable records.

- Enter financial transactions into accounting systems with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies by reviewing supporting records and transaction history.

- Prepare routine journal entries and maintain organized documentation for accounting activities.

- Use Quick Books and Real Page Accounting to support bookkeeping workflows and maintain reliable financial data.

- Assist with periodic reporting by compiling account information and validating the completeness of financial records. Requirements - Prior experience in an accounting clerk or bookkeeping role supporting daily financial transactions.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation processes.

- Hands-on experience using Quick Books in an accounting environment with a strong focus on accuracy and organization.

- Familiarity with Real Page Accounting is strongly preferred.

- Strong data entry skills with a consistent focus on accuracy and organization.

- Ability to prepare and post accounting entries while maintaining proper records.

- Good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
