Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a manufacturing organization in San Antonio, Texas on a Contract basis. This position supports promotional accounting activities by reviewing trade allowances, validating customer deductions, and helping ensure payments tied to promotional programs are handled correctly. The role is well suited for someone who can balance analytical work, follow established accounting practices, and communicate effectively across internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities:
• Review promotional deductions, trade allowances, and off-invoice pricing issues to confirm accuracy and support timely resolution.
• Gather supporting records from sales teams, brokers, distributors, and customers to investigate payment discrepancies and deduction claims.
• Pursue recovery of invalid deductions and write-offs in alignment with company guidelines and accounting controls.
• Examine trade agreements for errors or inconsistencies and coordinate corrections with the appropriate stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate accounting records that reflect customer activity, product performance, and promotional spending outcomes.
• Apply accounts receivable knowledge to support billing, cash activity, collections, and reconciliation efforts connected to customer accounts.
• Work cross-functionally with internal departments and external business partners to resolve open items and improve the flow of promotional payment information.
