Job Description & How to Apply Below

A private institutional real estate investment platform is adding an Investor Reporting Analyst to its growing San Antonio corporate finance team. The role supports quarterly and ad hoc investor reporting across the funds, which means validating, analyzing, and explaining the underlying financial and operational data rather than assembling templates.

This is a strong landing spot for someone coming out of audit or fund accounting who wants the analytical part of the work without the timesheet. The group is small enough that the work is visible, reporting peaks cluster at quarter end and are known well in advance, and off-cycle time shifts to analysis, ad hoc requests, and technology and process projects.

The path runs Analyst to Senior Analyst to Associate and up. The ideal candidate will bring one to three years in accounting, fund accounting, audit, investor reporting, or financial reporting, advanced Excel, real strength in variance investigation and data troubleshooting, and the ability to explain results clearly to internal teams and outside administrators. Communication is a screening criterion here, not a soft preference.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate unexpected variances and troubleshoot the underlying data issues.
  • Validate, analyze, and explain financial and operational data across the funds.
  • Produce quarterly investor reports in Workiva alongside Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Accounting, and third party fund administrators.
  • Maintain fund and investor data in Juniper Square.
  • Answer questions raised throughout the reporting process and keep reporting accurate, complete, and on time.
  • Support supplemental reporting requests from investors and the consultant base.
  • Support finance related technology and reporting initiatives.
Client Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years in accounting, fund accounting, audit, investor reporting, or financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability, specifically variance investigation and data troubleshooting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Real estate private equity or real assets experience preferred.
  • Power BI or SQL a plus.
  • CPA or CPA candidacy a plus.
  • Medical, dental, and vision.
  • 401(k).
  • Annual bonus plus a separate year end holiday bonus.
  • Educational and professional designation assistance.
