Hotel Finance Director

Salary: $150,000 Base + 30% Bonus

• Serve as the senior financial leader for a high-profile luxury hospitality property.
• Partner directly with ownership and executive leadership on strategic business decisions.
• Lead all aspects of hotel finance, accounting, reporting, forecasting, and compliance.
• Drive profitability and operational performance through financial analysis and business insights.
• Oversee a broad scope including AP, AR, Payroll, General Ledger, and Income Audit functions.
• Influence both operational and capital investment initiatives.
• Lead and develop an established finance and accounting team.
• Gain visibility across all areas of property operations while supporting long-term business objectives.

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
• Analyze operating performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Oversee all accounting functions, including AP, AR, Payroll, General Ledger, and Income Audit.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and financial risk management activities.
• Maintain strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness.
• Serve as the primary liaison for external audits and financial reviews.
• Mentor, develop, and lead the property’s finance and accounting team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive hotel finance and accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of hotel financial reporting and accounting systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry).
• Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and property-level financial management activities.
• Proven success managing month-end close, financial reporting, and accounting operations.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with in a luxury hotel, resort, boutique hotel, or upscale lodging environment.
• Previous experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Director of Finance.
• Experience partnering directly with ownership groups and executive leadership teams.

Direct hotel accounting/finance experience is required. Candidates must have recent, hands-on experience in hotel finance leadership. General hospitality or broader real estate experience without direct hotel accounting responsibility will not be considered.
