Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a transport-related nonprofit organization in San Antonio, Texas on a Contract basis. In this role, you will support accounts payable operations by reviewing invoice activity, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with reconciliations and payment processing. This position works closely with branch teams and accounting leadership to help keep financial transactions organized, timely, and accurate.

Responsibilities:

• Review invoices submitted by branch locations to confirm proper expense classification and overall accuracy before processing
• Enter office-related and employee benefits invoices into the accounting system with a high degree of precision
• Assign costs to the correct general ledger accounts to support accurate financial reporting
• Import and post approved invoices within the company accounting platform and maintain complete payment records
• Process disbursements, including check payments and required payment documentation, in accordance with established procedures
• Prepare expense allocations for shared or company-wide costs as needed
• Complete monthly reconciliations for bank and clearing accounts, including customer and vanline-related balances
• Record selected transactions to driver commission statements and support related account updates
• Follow workplace safety guidelines and assist with additional accounting or administrative duties as assigned
