Senior Business Development & Proposal Coordinator

Based full‑time in the San Antonio office, the Senior Business Development & Proposal Coordinator is a key role in Bartlett Cocke General Contractors’ efforts to share the company’s story and secure work. The position requires an experienced professional with expertise in proposal development and technical writing, as well as the organizational skills to manage complex deadlines and the communication skills to coordinate contributions from diverse teams.

The coordinator leads the development of persuasive, client‑focused proposals that highlight Bartlett Cocke’s expertise, values, and commitment to Building Better Lives
. Proposal deadlines take precedence over all other tasks, and this role is entrusted with managing the process from concept to submission with accuracy, creativity, and professionalism. While regional marketing and business development activities are also part of the scope, proposal production remains the primary focus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end‑to‑end production of proposals, including drafting, editing, formatting, assembling required documents, and ensuring timely submission.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Proposals Manager & Technical Writer and Regional BD Manager to tailor content, ensuring each proposal conveys Bartlett Cocke’s strengths and unique value.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance.
  • Write and edit proposal narratives with clarity, persuasion, and client focus.
  • Maintain focus on proposal deliverables, adjusting other responsibilities as needed to meet deadlines with excellence.
Regional Marketing and BD Support
  • Support regional staff with each stage of the interview process including team coordination and development of presentation materials.
  • Capture project milestone content (photos and video) for events such as groundbreakings and topping out ceremonies, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Support regional BD events and engagements, including region‑specific collateral development.
  • Coordinate professional photography for completed projects to support marketing materials and client presentations.
  • Assist in maintaining regional collateral, including one‑pagers, event materials, and branded merchandise audits.
  • Update and manage regional staff and project profiles within the company’s CRM.
  • Lead the development and submission of regional award entries, coordinating with internal teams as needed.
  • Schedule and coordinate professional headshots for regional team members to ensure up‑to‑date marketing assets.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal production, technical writing, or business development coordination within the AEC industry (architecture, engineering, or construction) or in a similar role within an adjacent industry; additional experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign for proposal production.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with proven ability to manage data and maintain accurate records.
  • Expertise in technical writing and editing, with the ability to translate complex information into persuasive, client‑centered narratives.
  • Experience managing multiple, high‑priority proposals simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI applications is a plus for supporting content development.
