Job Summary

The Sales Director is responsible for managing key client relationships and driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives. This role operates at a senior level and involves both independent and collaborative work on a variety of projects. The Sales Director builds strong relationships with major clients, identifies new business opportunities, and upsells products and services to both existing and new accounts.

With a solid understanding of the company’s offerings, this role ensures that client needs are consistently met, supporting long-term retention and business growth.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with major clients to drive revenue growth and retention.
  • Pursue new business opportunities by identifying potential accounts and upselling products/services to existing customers.
  • Understand clients’ business needs, provide solutions that help them succeed and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Lead client communications, ensuring satisfaction and promoting contract renewals through consistent touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to offer insights on product and service improvements based on client feedback.
  • Provide detailed sales quotes and respond to requests for proposals, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Contribute to larger team efforts and projects while independently managing key client accounts.
  • Lead the development, design, and presentation of client proposals and strategies to maximize market share.
  • Analyze sales data and client feedback to improve sales strategies and client engagement efforts.
  • Ensure consistent execution of merchandising, pricing, and shelf positioning strategies aligned with client goals.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the CPG industry.
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships with major clients.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to create effective sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools supporting the sales function (e.g., CRM, Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, business development opportunities, and market visits.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
