Required:
High School Diploma, 1 yr supervisor experience preferred, must have 1 year experience working with children in a residential setting, Bilingual in Spanish & English must be able to read, speak, and write fluently in both languages.

Summary
Under the general direction of the Lead, Evening and Weekend Supervisors, the Team Leader is responsible for the coordination and implementation of direct care operations in a manner that promotes best practices and facilitates the optimum delivery of quality trauma informed care and services to UAC. The Team Leader provides guidance, support and feedback to direct care staff, addressing issues and concerns within the team and working closely with supervisors to achieve desired results.
The Team Leader ensures that each UAC’s physical, social, emotional, educational, and recreational needs are met in accordance with agency policy, TDFPS Minimum Standards and ORR Policy.
Position Responsibilities
- * Reporting to work as scheduled and ensuring supervision of residents without interruption until relieved from duty;
- * Elevating pertinent information or concerns regarding the basic health and well-being of UAC, and work/living environment;
- * Ensuring special supervision and safety plan measures are adhered to at all times;
- Facilitating and monitoring intakes/admissions;
- * Ensuring supervision ratios are maintained at all times, increasing supervision during field trips and as needed due to UAC need;
- * Modeling professional conduct and demonstrating adequate skills, abilities and judgement;
- Ensuring completion of documentation in accordance with agency policy, TDFPS Minimum Standards and ORR Policy;
- Communicating effectively with direct care staff to promote continuity of care and ensure the safety and well-being of UAC;
- Assuming role of direct care staff as needed to meet ratio requirements and/or specials supervision needs;
- Coordinating and/or assisting in the facilitation of off-campus activities;
- Provide timely and professional feedback to direct care staff with regard to work habits, communication and safety, and elevating persistent performance issues to the supervisor;
- Other duties as assigned by the Shelter Supervisor, Program Director or Assistant Program Director.

Minimum Qualifications :
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services or social service fields; or
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus three years of supervisory experience in the aforementioned fields.
