Job Description:
The Assistant Project Manager will provide support to the Project Manager and Project Superintendent in providing the overall administrative, financial, and technical direction of a project. This position will work directly with the Project Manager to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with contract, design, budget, and schedule requirements.
Select Responsibilities:
- Review and verify constructability of plans and specifications
- Contribute to the buy-out process by requesting and reviewing bids and aligning budgets as necessary to create subcontracts
- Perform detailed review and processing of project submittals
- Develop and maintain material tracking logs
- Research, develop and write detailed RFI’s
- Coordinate with Design team for efficient responses to submittals and RFI’s
- Present in weekly project status meetings
- Assist with project forecasting and month end financial reporting
- Manage changes and ensure proper distribution of construction documents and/or project scope to ensure that the most current documents are being used
- Coordinate with project team to ensure materials are available when needed on site
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, or Architecture related disciplines, or equivalent relevant experience
- 2-5 years of Project Management experience with large and/or complex Commercial or Multifamily projects; field experience is a plus
- Historic renovation experience is a plus
- Proficient with relevant construction technology;
Procore experience a plus
