Seasonal Worker

Join our team! Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is accepting applications for seasonal workers to work on a commercial construction jobsite during the winter season.

This is a temporary position.

• Under supervision, this position performs basic construction tasks.
• Shovel dirt and/or rubble.
• Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
• Perform material handling and storage.
• Load and unload trucks, manually haul and/or hoist materials.
• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on construction projects.
• Perform manual work in preparing surfaces.

• Must be 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior training or experience preferred but not required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; and high and/or precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
