Position Description What You’ll Learn & Do

Assist the estimating team with quantity takeoffs and bid preparation

Learn how to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications

Assist with reviewing bid documents and project requirements

Help gather and organize subcontractor and supplier pricing

Support estimators with cost information and bid documentation

Gain exposure to CAD, BIM, and estimating software used by our team

Assist with preparing drawings, layouts, reports, and other supporting materials

Participate in pre-bid meetings and project discussions when appropriate

Learn how estimators evaluate project scope, quantities, costs, and potential risks

Work with experienced construction professionals and gain exposure to the full pre-construction process

Position Requirements What We’re Looking For

Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field

Interest in heavy civil construction, estimating, or pre-construction

Basic understanding of construction plans and terminology is helpful but not required

Exposure to AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Excel, estimating software, or similar programs is a plus — we don't expect you to know everything coming in

Comfortable working with numbers and learning quantity takeoffs

Detail-oriented and organized

Strong communication skills

Dependable with a strong work ethic

Eager to ask questions, learn, and take on increasing responsibility
