Job Summary:

A Service Technician is the front line and point person for our brand to the rider, driving outstanding in-store brand experiences. You will work directly with riders (present and remote) to identify and deliver the goods, services, and experiences needed to keep them riding longer and better. You will collaborate with staff and local riders as a host, mentor, brand advocate, and technical service expert, providing exceptional rider service and helping meet sales and profitability goals.

• Meeting and connecting with riders, qualifying questions, and listening to needs; offering options and advice from a pre-set service menu or tune-ups and an a la carte service.
• Speak authoritatively on technical matters related to bicycles; be the expert.
• Assist customers in an enthusiastic and courteous manner; provide exceptional customer service.
• Accurately intake service work, set expectations, and schedule repairs; fill out service work orders.
• Aid customers with product/service selection without bias.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of all department merchandise to assist customers with accurate information; stay current with new product lines.
• Assist with bike sales with technical consulting and other bike floor duties as needed.
• Deliver best-in-class rider service to ensure ongoing service and high rider satisfaction.
• Maintain store cleanliness standards at opening, throughout the day, and at close; light janitorial duties as needed.
• Proficiency with Lightspeed POS and store operational websites.
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

• Passion for cycling and the Specialized brand.
• Bike shop / bike mechanic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication with the ability to interact effectively with riders and team members.
• Ability to work as required, including weekends.
• Ability to stand for extended periods; occasional walking, kneeling, or reaching.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs or more and use proper lifting techniques.
