Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision, assists the Dentist in the treatment and processing of patients.
- Performs administrative related duties as required.
One year assistant experience including oral surgery; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Graduation from an accredited dental assistant school preferred. Must be qualified to perform radiographic procedures if any of the criteria is met:
- current certification as a certified assistant by the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc.;
- successful completion of the dental radiation health and safety examination administered by the Dental Assisting National Board Inc.; or
- successful completion of an examination specified by the TSBDE and administered by a licensed Texas dentist.
