Dental Hygienist

  • Full office support including a Care Coordination team handling all consents, pre‑authorizations, patient scheduling, post‑op and IT support

Qualifications

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oral Health Assessments:
    Conduct thorough oral health assessments, including for signs of oral diseases and abnormalities.
  • Teeth Cleaning:
    Perform dental cleanings, including removing plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth.
  • Preventative Treatment:
    Apply preventative treatments like fluoride applications and sealants.
  • Patient

    Education:

    Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing and dietary recommendations.
  • Radiographs:
    Take digital dental x‑rays as needed.
  • Record Keeping:
    Accurate and timely updates to patient records including documenting treatments and observations.
  • Assist Dentist during exams and procedures as needed.
  • Assist with patient transportation.
  • Communicate effectively with all patients, family members, providers, faculty, and staff.
  • Provide timely responses to patient inquiries; document conversations in the EMR.
  • Requires travel up to 100% of the time.
  • Must have own reliable transportation, good driving record, and car insurance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid dental hygiene license.
  • Must have obtained or be in process of obtaining appropriate certificate to practice independently.
