• Collaborate with business consultants, data engineers, and designers to create user‑focused, pixel‑perfect interfaces.
• Be part of primary and secondary research, including user interviews, ethnographic studies, and field research.
• Synthesize research findings into clear insights, frameworks, and actionable opportunities.
• Transform insights from research into wireframes, prototypes, and user journeys that deliver seamless user experiences.
• Design and iterate across fidelity levels: sketches, wireframes, information architecture, and high‑fidelity mockups.
• Communicate design solutions effectively to clients and stakeholders through clear presentations and artifacts.
• Devise solutions connecting AI, Engineering, and Design while maintaining a user‑centered approach.
• Optimize designs for a range of devices and interfaces, with rapid iteration based on feedback.

4–6 years of experience in UX/UI design; prior experience with data visualization or design systems is a plus.

• Strong visual communication and proficiency in tools like Figma.
• Expertise in Gestalt principles, typography, composition, and color theory.
• Ability to simplify complex data and abstract ideas into visually engaging, actionable designs.
• Practical knowledge of human‑centered design (HCD) and accessibility.
• Proficiency in creating prototypes, conducting user research, and presenting design solutions.
• Understanding of how UX/UI integrates within the clients’ larger data and AI ecosystem.
• Exposure and comfort in working with data.

• Experience with data visualization projects.
• Illustration or advanced visual design skills.
• Background in HCI, Design, or related fields.
• Familiarity with Gen AI tools usage in Design.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $100,000 – $120,000. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.

As a full‑time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company.

In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
