CHRISTUS Children’s, a world‑class 240‑bed freestanding children’s hospital in San Antonio, serves as a focal point for pediatric services throughout the community. In 2013, CHRISTUS Health finalized an agreement partnering with Baylor College of Medicine to recruit, employ, and oversee physicians and advanced practice providers at CHRISTUS Children’s. Baylor College of Medicine, located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, is recognized as one of the nation’s premier academic health science centers.

The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine has an opening for a 0.90 FTE pediatric cardiology electrophysiology faculty position at CHRISTUS Children’s. This position comes with a faculty appointment within the department of pediatrics, a competitive salary, and a full benefits package. The candidate’s credentials and experience will determine the rank of the academic appointment.

Clinical duties include patient care responsibilities and an outpatient clinic at CHRISTUS Children’s. Faculty teaching responsibilities include direct clinical supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and other students in related fields (nursing, dietary, pharmacy) who observe the physician directly in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

• M.D. degree
• Related experience required
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same)
• Board certification in General Pediatrics with subspecialty certification in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics (or eligible for same)
