Job DescriptionThe College of Business at Texas A&M University–San Antonio is seeking a Visiting Professor or Lecturer of Accounting to begin in January 2026 (Fall 2026 start date may be considered). This full‑time, non‑tenure track faculty appointment is for a period of one year and may be renewed based on performance and funding. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses, mentor students, and support departmental service and program development.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in accounting.
- Advise and mentor students.
- Support curriculum development and accreditation activities.
- Engage in service to the department, college, and university.
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Accounting, or J.D. with CPA certification.
- Evidence of effective university‑level teaching.
- Commitment to student success and comprehensive teaching practices.
Education and Experience
- Doctorate in Accounting or closely related field (completed or ABD).
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, CIA, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching first‑generation student populations.
