Curriculum Coordinator – Jubilee Academies

Position Details

    Full‑time extended workdays, occasional Saturdays, frequent travel
  • Position Salary: $76,000.00 per year – Exempt
  • Length of Term/Employment: 220 workdays – At‑Will
  • Reports to: Director of Curriculum and Instruction
Position Mission

The Curriculum Coordinator is dedicated to ensuring academic excellence and student achievement across the district. The Coordinator leads initiatives to enhance instructional practices, uses data‑driven strategies to close achievement gaps, and ensures the alignment, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instructional practices across the district. The role provides leadership, guidance, and support to district and campus staff in curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment strategies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Candidates must be able to travel to all campuses in all regions.
  • Master's degree in curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, or a related field.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with a minimum of five years of successful classroom teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in planning, lesson internalization, curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret student achievement data to inform instructional decision‑making.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience providing professional development and coaching to educators.
  • Knowledge of state and federal education laws, regulations, and mandates related to curriculum and instruction.
  • Proficiency in educational technology tools and digital resources to support curriculum delivery and assessment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, dynamic education environment.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in curriculum design and instructional practices.
Job Duties & Responsibilities Curriculum Development and Oversight
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum framework that aligns with state standards, district goals, best practices.
  • Create and maintain curriculum documents (scope & sequence, unit plans, pacing guides, and other resources).
  • Oversee and refine the vetting process for new resources using a rubric.
  • Review and evaluate instructional materials, resources, and tech tools continuously for alignment.
  • Revisit curriculum materials based on stakeholder feedback, research, and assessment data.
  • Collaborate with instructional coaches and campus leaders for vertical/horizontal alignment.
Instructional Support & Professional Development
  • Provide professional development for teachers, coaches, and administrators.
  • Onboard and support Curriculum Specialists with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
  • Lead regular Curriculum Team meetings to manage projects and deadlines.
  • Maintain project calendars and ensure timely completion.
  • Attend up to one district‑sponsored conference per year on curriculum, assessments, or tech.
  • Oversee UIL academics, spelling bee, and science/engineering fair.
Assessment & Data Analysis
  • Support development and administration of district assessments (benchmark, formative, summative).
  • Implement robust assessment systems monitoring student outcomes.
  • Analyze achievement data to identify gaps and improve student performance.
Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
  • Create, maintain, and revise MTSS district guidelines.
  • Track implementation outcomes for student growth and fidelity.
  • Facilitate MTSS professional development for staff.
Instructional Materials
  • Manage inventory control procedures for instructional materials.
  • Process textbook orders and redistribute inventory as needed.
  • Oversee receipt, distribution, and disposal of instructional materials.
  • Maintain subscriptions and purchase records.
  • Process purchase orders for grants with Director approval.
General Duties & Professionalism
  • Liaison between district, campuses, and community stakeholders.
  • Stay current on trends, research, and best practices.
