The Opportunity:
The Student Enrollment and Data Team is focused on ensuring that schools are fully enrolled so that students are free to create the future they want for themselves and their communities. The team supports this vision through application acquisition and family onboarding, cultivation, and persistence. The Regional Manager of Student Recruitment (SRM) is responsible for developing a regional annual student in‑field recruitment plan to achieve our organization’s application goals.
This person will manage, coach, and hold the Recruitment & Community Coordinator(s) in their region accountable to meet their weekly and annual application goals. To be successful in this role, an SRM brings a track record for designing and implementing successful recruitment and/or sales strategies and has experience building and maintaining relationships with city and neighborhood partners such as nonprofit organizations, businesses, residential complexes, daycares, and more.
- Recruitment Planning and Progress Monitoring
- Devise, manage, and implement regional recruitment strategies that support the recruitment of students wishing to attend KIPP Texas in line with set targets.
- Provide each Recruitment and Community Coordinator with their weekly field plan.
- Reach out and maintain relationships with city‑wide and neighborhood partners to set up recruitment activities.
- Participate in community events, phone banking, block walking, or tabling to collect weekly application needs.
- Identify, attend, and evaluate a range of student recruitment events, including recruitment fairs, exhibitions, seminars, school visits, community‑organized events, and presentations at community partners.
- Provide real‑time feedback to the Recruitment and Community Coordinator to improve recruitment practice.
- Track the investment and outcome of every recruitment activity to measure return on investment.
- Recruit, communicate with, and train school volunteers for in‑field recruitment efforts on an ongoing basis.
- Team Development & Regional Operating Mechanism Participation
- Hold weekly check‑ins with direct reports and participate in quarterly meetings with peers.
- Shape professional development opportunities with the Director.
- Monitor weekly application acquisition and make pivots to exceed the weekly goal.
- Work cross‑functionally with other regional operations leaders and voice recruitment efforts in bi‑weekly Regional Ops Cabinet meetings.
- Ensure the regional recruitment team has necessary tools by procuring collateral and swag for events.
- Data Analysis & Reporting to Regional Stakeholders
- Track and analyze daily application progress to identify grade‑level gaps and devise action plans.
- Oversee School Mint actions: applying priority validations, removing duplicate and current student applications, and updating unconfirmed addresses.
