Job Summary

The Communications Coordinator position plays a key role in supporting strategic enrollment initiatives by developing, executing, and optimizing communications across multiple mediums that engage prospective and current students and their families. This position collaborates across departments to ensure consistent, accurate messaging that reflects the university’s brand and enrollment goals. It will also serve as the primary coordinator for various stakeholders (internal and external) for our direct admission program, a collaboration with Enrollment Communications, Undergraduate Recruitment, Admissions Processing and local high school districts.

Core

Responsibilities
  • Communications Coordination and Execution
  • Creates and manages multi-channel communication plans (email, sms, print, web, digital, etc.) to support the university’s admission and enrollment efforts.
  • Writes, edits, and distributes content tailored to prospective and current students, as well as related stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the creative team to produce compelling visuals and messaging that supports enrollment communication objectives.
  • Understands student data and enrollment business processes to recommend the best communication segmentation and personalization to engage students in taking relevant calls to action.
  • Monitors performance metrics of communications and recommends improvement based on data insights.
  • Direct Admissions Coordination and Execution
  • Creates, manages, and executes communications to students for the direct admissions program.
  • Serves as the central coordinator for the Direct Admission program, ensuring alignment across Enrollment Communications, Undergraduate Recruitment, and Admissions Processing.
  • Manages timelines, deliverables, and task tracking for all components of the program, including those executed by other teams.
  • Convenes and facilitates regular check‑in meetings to ensure cross‑functional coordination and progress.
  • Acts as a point of contact for external partners (e.g., school district representatives) to ensure timely data sharing and adherence to agreements.
  • Monitors and documents program milestones, challenges, and outcomes for reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Enrollment Marketing and Communications Support
  • Assists in the development and deployment of communications that support admissions and enrollment campaigns.
  • Provides content support for marketing initiatives, including social media, video, and print materials.
  • Participates in brainstorming and strategy sessions with the Enrollment Communications team.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Five (5) years of experience in communications and marketing.
  • Experience working in an email marketing platform (Marketing Cloud, Constant Contact, etc.).
