Position Summary

Our campus has an opening for a Homework Café® teacher to motivate homework completion and help facilitate executive functioning skills in our Homework Café® for grades 6-12 students. Candidates must have positive energy, thrive in a high‑paced environment, be calm and open to feedback, and be self‑starter. They must respect each student’s personhood, create connective relationships while maintaining authority, boundaries, and discipline, and keep the learning space clean and organized.

Candidates will also assist with additional office‑manager duties such as campus opening/closing, front‑desk responsibilities, event assistance, and classroom instruction across a range of subject areas.

Pay Range
: $25.00 per hour USD

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and help students’ progress in completion of homework.
  • Communicate with teachers and parents on student progress.
  • Promote a positive social environment for students.
  • Develop and maintain genuine, positive, and consistent communication with parents.
  • Contribute to and benefit from the campus community.
  • Practice professionalism through ongoing professional development, reflection and continuous improvement.
  • Significant student mentoring.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience with Special Education and Youth Mental Health background is a plus.
  • Must be able to multi‑task, be detail‑oriented, a great communicator and a self‑starter.
  • Exceptional classroom management skills, basic computer skills, and an outgoing, well‑organized individual who is eager to work in a highly dynamic, energetic school setting.

  • Spanish language instructional experience is highly desired.
