Job Description: The University of Texas at San Antonio is seeking an established transportation researcher for the “Weather Ready Texas Cluster” in the School of Architecture & Planning. The candidate will focus on Weather Resilient Transportation Systems and contribute to academic research on transportation systems and cities’ readiness to extreme weather events.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct transdisciplinary research on urban transportation and weather resilience.
- Teach courses in the Urban and Regional Planning (URP) program.
- Collaborate with research centers:
Center for Urban and Regional Planning Research (CURPR) and Sustainable Pervasive Urban Resilience (SPUR) Center. - Support the MS in Urban and Regional Planning (MSURP) program and mentor students in optional specializations.
Qualifications:
- Established faculty with a strong record of research in urban transportation and climate resilience.
- Demonstrated curriculum of transdisciplinary research and publications.
- Ability to work in the interdisciplinary School of Architecture & Planning.
- Proven teaching effectiveness in a graduate‑level planning program.
