Senior Technician

Support projects by executing chemical and petroleum lab scale experiments and supporting pilot plant operations. Buildup of the test equipment and piping systems (piping and tubing). Lead or support a shift and create daily operating reports. Provide on the spot updates and project management. Compile and report test data. Work directly with chemical and petroleum materials.

Shift work will be required (24/5) with predominately outdoor work. Collaboration with other design engineers is necessary to coordinate fabrication projects with the machine shop.

• HS Diploma or GED with some College preferred
• Familiarity with computer software, including Excel
• Mechanical aptitude is a must
• Understanding of basic fluid flow, gas flow, and pressure
• Self-initiative and desire to increase general knowledge
• Natural interest in science and how data and science are used to support process development
• Safety conscience is extremely important

Hands-on experience with pipe fitting, controls setup, and field operations is a plus. Process design experience is also a plus.

• Hours will vary from 20 to 40 hours per week depending on project funding
• Standing for long periods may be required
• Personal protective equipment required: steel toe shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, and clear MVR
