Who We Are:Southwest Research Institute is seeking highly driven and skilled Computer Scientist/Engineer for its Applied Power Division to help develop prototype systems to solve national security challenges.
Objectives of this Role:- Assist in design, development, and optimization of hardware systems to enhance operational efficiency and innovation.
- Participate in exercises and testing to gather critical field data and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Provide software front-end and back-end development for one-off systems.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement innovative solutions for system challenges.
- Inform and work with military SOPs and standards for system evaluation and development.
- Prepare and present technical reports and findings to senior management.
- Programming for real time and near real time systems.
- Assisting with design for analog and digital circuits.
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree field with relevant experience.
- 0-5 years:
Experience related to GUI Design and backend development. - Coding experience with Python and C++ preferred.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
