You’ll work side‑by‑side with experts, contributing to reliable, resilient and sustainable power systems.

• Establish primary local Power Delivery relationships with strategic clients, overseeing project execution, driving quality, marketing new opportunities and ensuring profitability.
• Manage and lead Power Delivery projects through the entire life cycle—scope, proposal, team, execution, closeout, quality control, schedule, and budget. Focus on substation projects initially, expanding to transmission and distribution.
• Work independently and/or direct, mentor, train and supervise Project Engineers, EITs, Designers, CADD technicians and administrative staff.
• Lead the QA/QC process on projects per HDR’s Quality Management Systems (QMS) with a commitment to world‑class quality.
• Oversee non‑engineering components of projects such as public involvement, environmental permitting, right‑of‑way acquisition, construction management and related services.
• Build, develop and supervise a local Power Delivery team, managing workload, quality, utilization, morale, training and performing annual performance reviews.
• Leverage staff across the company to deliver world‑class services in the Texas region.
• Collaborate with team members across the region and nationally, balancing workload, quality, utilization, morale and training.
• Establish a network of technical peers in other offices, using those relationships for work‑sharing opportunities.
• Coordinate with marketing and technical leadership to support business development opportunities.
• Support, lead and engage in broader business development activities for new opportunities with existing and target clients in the region.
• Travel for business development and project execution as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 7 years related experience.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• MS Office and MS Project experience required (Access experience a plus).
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
