Program Manager – Abacus Technology Corporation

Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking a Program Manager to lead and oversee a team of technical professionals providing support for the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) at Randolph AFB. This is a full-time position.

• Oversee day‑to‑day contractor responsibilities and provide direct support to the Project Management Office (PMO).
• Provide guidance to technical teams in the execution of a variety of technical tasks to support the base and mission.
• Support improvements to current projects and planning for future projects.
• Provide a regular status report, including compliance metrics for Abacus corporate management, the CSO, and the COR.

• 7+ years experience in a project or program management role.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
• PMP certification.
• Strong practical experience in project management gained through managing large and complex projects.
• Knowledge of current developments in wired and wireless communications networks, computer systems, and telecommunications policy and technology relevant to base infrastructure program planning.
• Ability to gather and analyze program information, make sound judgments regarding progress, and effectively communicate recommendations orally and in writing to the government.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment with different levels of management and engineering staff.
• Ability to organize, prepare, and discuss concepts and technical issues appropriately with senior‑level staff.
• Knowledge of capital planning principles and methods, enterprise architecture policy and processes.
• Strong knowledge of project and program management methodology and techniques.
• Knowledge of government budgeting and resource allocation procedures; and innovative problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience with MS Office, Visio, and Project.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
