Position OverviewThe Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in San Antonio, TX is responsible for providing and reviewing construction calculations for construction projects, document & data review for stamping and issuing final surveys, preparing proposals, project management, and maintaining client relationships. The office has a large workload in the energy market and offers traditional land surveying opportunities.
Responsibilities- Leadership and mentorship of technical staff and field crew.
- Administrative duties related to project organization, scheduling, proposal preparation, and billing.
- Maintain industry technology edge and recommend upcoming requirements and trends.
- Perform general duties of an RPLS: boundary analysis, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, construction support staking, LiDAR acquisition/processing, foundation surveys, As‑built surveys, and elevation certificates and all other land surveying efforts.
- Be proficient in Autodesk software products, Trimble software, and a working knowledge of standard land survey equipment.
- Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in Texas and PLS in Oklahoma.
- 5+ years of experience as a land surveyor.
- Proficient in the use of GPS & robotic total stations.
- Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing, read and interpret survey maps and construction plans.
- Good driving record.
