OverviewWe are looking for a passionate and dedicated Mechanical Engineer in our West Central geography. As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our local, national, and international municipal clients in water and wastewater.
Key Responsibilities- Design water and wastewater pump stations, treatment facilities/processes for water and wastewater plants, conveyance systems.
- Produce technical writing, construction drawings, and specification documents.
- Perform pipe sizing calculations and select appropriate pump types for primary, secondary, tertiary, and solids treatment systems.
- Design rotating equipment such as centrifugal pumps, blowers, and other mechanical utilities.
- Develop and support plant process piping, chemical systems, and hydraulic studies.
- Collaborate on P&t in coordination with process control engineers.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
- At least 8 years of experience in water/wastewater process mechanical engineering for municipal or industrial clients.
- Detailed mechanical design experience for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems.
- Experience developing P&’s in coordination with process control engineers.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.
- Hydraulic modeling experience.
- Designing piping systems, valves, and appurtenances for water and wastewater treatment plant process piping (ductile iron, steel, PVC, HDPE, copper, etc.).
- Design implementation of rotating equipment and process treatment equipment.
- Experience developing plans and specifications.
- Experience with Design‑Build, CMAR/CM‑GC and/or EPC projects.
- Construction support services for water and wastewater projects or related industries.
