Engineer - (PE or 3+yr EIT) Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Facilities Plant Design

Summary

BGE, Inc will hire an Engineer in Training (EIT) up to a Sr Project Engineer (PE) to support the design and engineering efforts of Water/Wastewater Treatment Facility Plants. You can out of one of our Central TX offices:
South Austin (Directors Blvd) or North Austin (Louis Henna Blvd) or San Antonio (San Pedro Ave).



Job Description

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
• Registered EIT or PE in Texas required or can be acquired through reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
• 3-5+ years and up of experience working in public works and/or municipal services projects.
• Previous design engineering experience in water/wastewater treatment facilities (biological treatment systems, membrane treatment facilities, pump stations, and piping design).

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
• EIT Certification in Texas or Registered PE in Texas required or can be acquired through reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
• 3+ years' experience working in public works and/or municipal services projects.
• 1+ years of experience working in water & sewer system planning and design, including water/wastewater treatment facilities (biological treatment systems, membrane treatment facilities, pump stations, and piping design)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of relevant CAD software;
  Civil 3D preferred.
• Experience with Water Modeling Software (Water
  
  GEMS, Info Water, or comparable) preferred
• Willingness and ability to be in one of our Central Texas offices (Austin or San Antonio) on a regular basis.
