Boiler Technician - Commercial - Industrial

Salary - Depends on experience

My client is a well-regarded Mechanical Contracting company. They are seeking a Boiler Technician to join their growing team.

• Inspect and repair boiler fittings, such as safety valves, regulators, automatic-control mechanisms, water columns, and auxiliary machines.
• Read dials of temperature, pressure, and ampere gauges and meters to detect malfunctions and ensure specified operation of equipment.
• Test electrical systems to determine voltage, using voltage meters.
• Turn valves and adjust controls to set specified fuel feed, draft openings, water level, and steam pressure of boilers.
• Operate automatically fired boilers to generate steam that supplies heat or power for buildings or industrial processes. Light gas- or oil-fed burners using a torch.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions in electrical circuits as necessary. Inspect wiring, check connections and power sources, and log repair needs.
• Install and maintain motors, wiring, and all electrical equipment including control systems for lighting, motors, and instrumentation.
