• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy and use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engage patients and customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues and answering questions.
• Share customer service best practices with all team members.
• Provide fast, efficient, courtesy service and recommend items, trade‑ups or companion items.
• Process customer purchases, including voids, returns, refunds and exchanges; call up OTC aisle to assist locating products.
• Maintain counters and shelves clean, merchandised, inventory, and records; check in and price merchandise as required.
• Utilize pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, verify medicine, and help pharmacists schedule workflow.
• Report prescription errors, adhere to policies and procedures, and comply with Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policy.
• Handle telephone calls not requiring personal attention of the pharmacist, including calls to physicians.
• Process and resubmit manual claims for third‑party program prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacy department with inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, storage, and claim filing for overages or shortages.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise, and complete resets as directed.
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement; stock rotation for consumables.
• Maintain knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, digital passport photo service, and other print services.
• Assume web pick‑up responsibilities, monitor orders, pick items, and deliver orders to arriving customers.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance.
• Comply with company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state‑required certification/registration.
• Attend training and complete required PPLs, acquire continuing education credits, and maintain knowledge in healthcare and pharmacy.

• Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Good math skills for precise prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
