Stage and Audiovisual (AV) Technician – Overview
The stage and audiovisual (AV) technician supports the technical needs for performances and events at Morgan's Wonderland.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Run, troubleshoot, and maintain all A/V equipment.
- Test equipment to ensure proper audio before events and shows.
- Keep track of and hit all sound cues.
- Keep track of all props and ensure they are in their places at the top and bottom of the show.
- Be on standby during shows and events to ensure smooth operation and handle issues on the fly.
- Report any equipment‑related issues and assist in maintaining and cleaning equipment, working closely with the Entertainment Supervisor or Manager to ensure they remain in excellent condition and performance‑ready.
- Attend rehearsals, training sessions, and meetings to stay current on performance updates, character changes, and new park events.
- Other duties as assigned.
- General Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of A/V equipment, including microphones, speakers, and general sound systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and isolate problems of A/V equipment.
- Knowledge of sound design.
- Knowledge of the technical aspects of a theatrical production, including cue tracking, scene changes, and an understanding of the role of a stage manager in a production.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Quick problem‑solving under pressure.
- Comfort working with individuals of varying abilities in a supportive environment.
- Additional Information:
- Shifts will vary between day and evening hours to include weekends.
- Must be available five days a week, during entertainment hours.
- Ability to work during the holiday season is preferred.
- Seasonal, hourly position.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

- The work environment is an outdoor park environment with continuous outdoor activity and exposure to extreme weather conditions.

- Continuous requirement for professional demeanor and appropriate park staff attire.
