The primary role of the Senior Portfolio Manager will be to collaboratively develop, execute and communicate investment management services to clients of Argent including (but not limited to) individuals, nonprofit organizations, and institutions. In this role the Senior Portfolio Manager will collaborate effectively with colleagues as well as clients and partners of Argent.
Job Location:- Developing and evaluating investment objectives and goals
- Constructing and managing diversified investment portfolios for clients using a variety of strategies and vehicles
- Conducting regular portfolio reviews and providing updates to clients
- Performing rebalancing/trading analysis
- Placing trades in client accounts
- Communicating regularly and closely with the client service team
- Serving on various internal investment decision-making committees and work groups
- Assisting with the evaluation, screening, selection, and management of mutual funds and investment managers for use in client accounts
- Conducting and summarizing economic analysis and research
- Assisting in the research and evaluation of asset classes
- Communicating clearly to clients the aspects of complicated investment concepts to a varied client base
- Participating in business development meetings with Relationship Managers and Management
- Collaborating with client relationship team members, including other portfolio managers
- Working with Relationship Managers to develop and document the appropriate investment objectives, asset allocation guidelines and appropriate investment strategies for the client base
- Preparing and presenting multi variable financial plans to clients utilizing financial planning software
- Ability to communicate complex investment and market concepts in a clear, concise manner to a variety of clients
- Strong analytical skills are required, including attention to details
- Work collaboratively with client team to deliver fiduciary services and achieve client satisfaction
- Proficiency in written and oral communications with strong presentation skills
- Ability to adjust communication style to varying audiences
Experience:
- 4 to 6+ years related work experience preferred
- Preference will be given to candidates who hold the CFA designation program
